Your first hour at the controls, one-to-one with an instructor. No experience needed, and the hour counts toward a certificate if you continue.
A discovery flight is exactly what it sounds like: a short briefing, then an hour in the left seat of a training aircraft with an instructor beside you. You will taxi, take off, fly the aircraft in cruise and, weather permitting, land it with the instructor's hands close by.
About this course

What You Need to Know:
- About 30 minutes of ground briefing
- About 60 minutes of flight time, logged in your name
The session is one-to-one. If you go on to train with us, the hour is entered in your logbook and counts toward your private pilot certificate.
Flights are weather-dependent. We confirm the evening before, and a weathered-out session is rescheduled at no cost.
What's included
The aircraft, fuel, an aviation headset, and your instructor's time. A logbook if you want to keep flying.
Prerequisites
A government photo ID. No flying experience required.
Add-on options
Optional extras you can add when you book. Nothing here is required.
- Aviation headset rental
Rent one of our headsets for the flight portion. Set the rental price, then activate to offer it at checkout.

What to bring
Bring a government photo ID and anything listed under prerequisites. Flight students bring a logbook if they have one; yoga students bring water and comfortable clothes. Mats, props and aviation headsets are provided.
Rescheduling and cancellations
Plans change. You can move your own booking online using the order number in your confirmation email, up to the cutoff shown at checkout. Inside that window, call the office and we will sort it out with you. Cancellation and late-reschedule fees are set out in our enrollment policy.
