Instrument Rating Prep

Instrument Rating Prep is a one-day intensive for private pilots who want to start instrument training with the theory already in hand. Morning sessions cover the instrument scan, holding, and approach procedures; the afternoon is spent flying approaches in the simulator with an instructor.

What You Need to Know:

• One day, 8am to 5pm, with lunch provided
• Simulator time is logged and counts toward the rating
• Maximum eight students, so everyone flies the simulator

Bring your logbook and a current chart subscription if you have one. The course does not replace instrument flight training, it makes the first ten hours of it far more productive.

Bring a government photo ID and anything listed under prerequisites. Flight students bring a logbook if they have one; yoga students bring water and comfortable clothes. Mats, props and aviation headsets are provided.

Plans change. You can move your own booking online using the order number in your confirmation email, up to the cutoff shown at checkout. Inside that window, call the office and we will sort it out with you. Cancellation and late-reschedule fees are set out in our enrollment policy.
